Subject: [CR]Painting a second color on a frame...contrasting color on lugs...a modest proposal or two

As someone who has seen a lot of work by the best bike painters of our time (at least as far as I am aware) and been made weak in the knees by the beauty and quality of all of them I'd like to make a small proposal for Cirque. Perhaps we could group some bikes very close together that have the several contrasting styles of lug painting (and perhaps lug lining, too?) and that way we can look them over and evaluate the success of each method. Don't know if this would require an intentional manipulation by Scott and Dale, or we could just take it on ourselves to arrange this, but it seems like it would be enjoyable to many of us to see side by side the different methods. I know that the slots for presentations are all full for this upcoming Cirque, but I'd very much enjoy a presentation on differing styles of painting by some of the wonderful painters on the list...perhaps the Cirque after this? Dale? Bike photography would be another I'd like to see sometime, and we have two list members who are among best bike photographers I have ever seen , Ken Toda and Ray Dobbins, who I am sure would love to share a bit of their craft with us.
