Chicago 6-Day, Chicago Stadium, early-mid thirties - Chicago bike builder Louie Goosens (center, dark work clothes) was an early competitor to Emil & Oscar Wastyn as the 6-day mechanic. Here he's using a vise to tweak the rails of a saddle. The tire expert on the right is not identified. Is that a set of multi-drum rollers visible through the black wheel stand?

Tomorrow - Kate Smith starts a mid-1930s Chicago 6-day
