Greetings I have been a member of this list off and on for a few years and mostly a lurker of late. I am a life long cyclist, have a modest collection of some vintage lightweights and ride all year for fun and commuting. My interests include wood working which is the reason for this post. If any of you have ever tried to find a well made wall mounted rack to display your "treasures", you know the selection is pretty limited. QBP does sell a wood rack that is made of oak but the finish is poor and the arms are fastened by screws into the end grain of the wood -- not terribly strong.

I am building racks made of mahogany and hand finished with danish oil. The arms are held to the base with metal cross dowels and bolts, the same fasteners used in the furniture business. These racks are beautiful and durable and can stand up to daily use, assuming you mount them to your wall with the appropriate fasteners.

If any of you are interested, I am offering these for $45 plus shipping (typically $9 in Continental US). Pictures are available so email me off-list and I will send them on.

Cheers
