If anything they represent some of the extremes that framebuilders had to go to in the UK from the early 80s if they wanted to stop in business by supplying the then burgeoning time-trial market with "funny bikes". As will be noted from the photos many of the frames were built with the fashionable low-profile design that depended very largely on the front wheel being either a 600 or a 26".

Most builders tend to remember certain frames of which they were proud..and I have posted three photos of one of the cyclo-cross frames I built for the UK squad in 1982..these always make me feel quite satisfied with the way the frames turned out...and rode...the frames were finished with a full chrome-plate...to make hosing down after muddy events much easier.
