There is one set of classic wheels that has to be as fast as most anything today and that is Roval. Aero rims, bladed spokes and less spokes. All there in a classic wheel.

Here's a rather garish Redcay sporting Rovals:

\r?\n> I do

\r?\n> not consider anyone can with hand on heart really say which is the

\r?\n> correct answer. Whether it be old cane ,steel or new carbon rims

\r?\n> ,single, doubled butted or bladed spokes, quality of large flanged

\r?\n> or

\r?\n> small flange hubs ,sealed or otherwise, types of tyres , road

\r?\n> surface

\r?\n> conditions and terrain and quality of wheel building ,these should

\r?\n> all

\r?\n> be taken into consideration when trying to answer the question. To

\r?\n> my

\r?\n> way of thinking no one individual has a true answer , only by their

\r?\n> own

\r?\n> experiences can anyone at least try to judge which could be the

\r?\n> solution. But other than that I suggest we will never know and I'm

\r?\n> sure

\r?\n> in the end , we will all agree to differ !

\r?\n>

\r?\n> Safe riding whether fast or slow.
