My apparently French made and tubed Bartali is Nuovo Record equipped and Campagnolo clips are correct. I found out the trick for me is to not try t o install the clips with the cable underneath but to snake the cable through after one has BARELY engaged the threads on the nuts and then tighten them after. Still likely to nick the paint unless done with care.
