Sorry my post sounded like I was rubbing salt in your wound Peter, but what I was writing about was the somewhat mocking way you referred to the winner of the auction who you didn't realize was a well known collector and CR list member.
And what I actually said was, "I can pretty much guarantee the '54 Stella TdF will be at Velo Rendezvous in October and you can take a look at it in person if you care to. Hell, maybe even ride it a block or two if you're really nice to Jay..."
Of course I could be wrong about Jay letting you ride the Stella. <grin>
