If there was ever a case for using a four cross spoking pattern on a large flange hub this would be it! I've never seen holes made this close to the edge of the flange. Looks like the hub pictured is laced three cross? Four cross would make the spokes tangent to the edge of the flange. Maybe five or six cross would help even more? <grin>
