I'm cleaning house and offering to list members first a collection of Sporting Cyclist magazines from January 1958 through the final issue of April 1968. This is a duplicate set I have built up in the course of collecting them for several years. There are 111 issues, it is missing 13 various issues during the years covered. The magazine was started by JB Wadley as a quarterly, in January 1957 it went to monthly publication. This collection does not include any of the 1957 issues. I can detail which issues are missing if you're really interested.
Most are in great condition, a few have loose covers and one has no cover at all. But that hardly affects the contents--Coppi, Anquetil, Simpson, Euro racing info, classic equipment references and the great journalism of Wadley, Rene LaTour and others including John Wilcockson's first published piece.
I've invested incredible dollars (far more than the selling price) and effort to get to the point where I have not only 1 complete collection but a second collection that is approx. 90% complete. If you follow eBay you know how these can go dearly for individual issues. Take advantage of my work and enjoy some great reading AND help me clear some space.
