I should provide some background, I pulled a vintage steel frame out of mothballs, and decided to use toe-clips and straps instead of my usual clipless pedals. I was not planning to use cleats, just was looking for a "classic" style shoe, even if I have to look through old stock or find a good second-hand pair. I am planning to use this set-up for occasional, feel-good rides on my vintage bike.
