Walter Generati (Italian National Team) on his way to winning the 3rd
stage of the 1937 Tour de France, 161 kms, from Charleville to Metz.
With just 7 kms to the finish, the 24-years-old attacked from a break of
about a dozen riders, and stayed away to finish 34" ahead of Jean
Frechaut (Fra - individuel). Marcel Kint (Bel Nationals) finished third
and took the Yellow Jersey for a day.
