Hello: This type of bend is readily brought back to original. We have repaired many like this through the years, and if properly done you shouldn't even know it was bent when you get it back. It doesn't have to be heated. I agree with Sheldon, take it to a quality shop or better yet, a local frame builder who will put it right. It shouldn't be weakened or fatigued in any way, and you can restore and / or ride to your heart's content. Ted Ernst Palos Verdes Estates, CA
