The weather is looking better for Saturday, now only some rain early and scattered showers late, so 10:00 may be pretty dry. Some come on down for one or both rides, ya can't go wrong! 3rd notice, CR Jersey Shore ride this Saturday and Sunday from the Gibbs hall Parking lot at Fort Monmouth New Jersey. Saturday starting at 10:00 am, Sunday starts at 1:30 pm. 25 miles, pretty flat with a few highway overpass type hills. Should be good for fixed gears, other than a fair number of traffic lights/stops. We'll see the ocean and some high priced real estate on this one. Food afterwards at a local restaurant or Pizza at my place, depending on the mood of the group. Tours of the Bike Dungeon possible. Directions: Exit GSP at exit 105 (eastbound on State Highway 36), and shift/merge immediately to the right for the NJ style cloverleaf turn to end up going left/north onto Hope Road. (And when I say immediately, I mean IMMEDIATELY!. The turn comes up RIGHT NOW after you exit the GSP.) Go north on Hope Road two or three lights to Tinton Ave (you will see Sun Eagles GC on your right as you approach Tinton). Turn right onto Tinton, then take the next right into Gibbs Hall/Suneagles GC, and meet in the parking lot right at that entrance. For those with GPS or who want to use Mapquest, my quarters in Sun Eagles GC are located at 23 Megill Circle, Eatontown NJ 07724. Ride leader's cell phone is (816) 838-9721. Fine Vintage lugged steel is encouraged, but all are welcome.
