I think you are talking about Sigi Koch. Sigi lives, I think, north
of Toronto these days and was a fixture on the racing scene in when I
raced and lived in TO in the 70's. Great Great rider. Went on to own a
bike shop for many years that was eventually bought out by Ian D'Ornelas
(another great Canadian Olympic rider). I am pretty sure Mike Barry is
still in touch with him quite freqeuntly.

I was looking through old magazines, and suddenly remembered a name from
the past - my boss at the bike shop used to talk about an ex-German by the name of Siegfried Koch (spelling?). He might have been from the Chicago area? Formerly on the German National team, or something like that. Used to come to the races in Dayton during the 1960s/1970s. Won a lot.
Anyone know who I'm talking about?
