Subject: [CR]WTB: 32 x 40 British clincher rims

I'm trying to figure out my options for wheels for the Ephgrave project. I have a pair of Airlite hubs, and wonder if any self-respecting club rider of the '50s would have mated those to 27" clincher rims for use on such a fine machine. If I'm not way out of bounds with this idea, does anyone have a spare set of suitable rims for sale?

If this sort of thing shouldn't be done, I do have a pair of tubular rims I can clean up for this project. I'm not above doing something outlandish in order to tweak sensibilities, but I would probably do that with a lesser frame. I do plan to ride this one.
