Interesting to see SILK bikes produced over a fairly wide range . The only SILKs I ever saw were folding bikes (ROAD PUPPY seemed to have been the model-hows that for a name?) Anyone know who the manufactuer was? maybe FUJI? I know FUJI produced a lot of higher quality models under private label(Nishiki? Campania ) The trading companys controlled most if not all of the production capacity (C.ITOH ,YAGAMI) Did any of the Japanese producers make the leap to US direct distributors? (like Motobecane and Peugeot)
