Recovered a Hetchins frameset from discards at local shop
Model: Experto Credo with curly stays Serial H5062 Year: approx 1965 . Size: Seat tube = 22" C-T Top tube = 22.5" C-C Condition: Found covered with heavy brown paint and rustoleum primer Now partially stripped as I have been examining the details. Some signs of nickel on fork crown and blade ends but any other indication of prior chrome is gone. Tubing is free of rust but appears that stripping and blasting from prior repaints has left main tubes with some texture in places. Tubes are straight and free of dents with exception of one slight depression on the top tube, typical of an encounter with the handlebar. Has eyelets for mudguards and racks. Has rear brake cable bridge for centerpull. Distinctive cable housing stops and guide loops present for rear derailleur and rear brake cable. Shiftbossed present on down tube. No pump pegs or wattlebottle bosses.
