Greetings---
Lucky you, Martin!!!! Gotta love Automotos, perhaps THE coolest bikes of all time. How can you go wrong with a lucky clover on your headlugs.
One of the first things I would do is buy Chuck Schmidt's (he's in California, USA) reproduction Automoto catalogue-----

He also used to own an Automoto bike (perhaps more than one?) and knows a quite a bit about the marque. He is a great guy and will be able to help.
Rydjor Bike Shop in Minnesota, USA has a couple of Automotos in their bike collection. Here's the link. You might ask them some questions. ------

Best of luck. Actually, you've already HAD best luck by actually FINDING an Automoto.
Cheers,
