Tom,

Silver is very thin when it is flowing. Flows like water when everything is working like it should. It does not filet very much to fill a cut out. Also the filler only goes where the heat goes. Since the heat is moving, hopefully the filler is going with it. I was taught to add filler at one location on a lug and use torch to move the filler. I don't add filler in a cutout. The problem you describe is not much of a problem, even for a rookie like myself.
