It started as a cool, crisp morning with the thermometer in the low 30's, but the weather gods were kind to us and it turned into a beautiful autumn (low 60's) day for Kevin Muadib's New Jersey Shore Ride. Turning out for Kevin's ride was:

Steve Maasland-1974 Masi GC (Italian) Gabriel Romeu-1983 Scapin Rita Romeu-Ron Cooper

I rode a 1983 Cinelli and our host was on a Guerciotti.

We met at Allaire Park in Farmingdale, NJ. The ride started out on a bike path but the five of us eventually found our way to the shore towns of Sea Girt, Brielle and Matawan. After riding L'Eroica, it was great to just spin and take turns doing sprints with Gabriel and Steven.

Riding along the shore and past the summer beach homes was great. The NJ Shore feels so different in the Autumn. Riding the shore kind of reminded me of the VR beach ride in Los Angeles only this time, we did not have to fish Pergolizzi and his Hurlow out of the sand. Whatever.

Thanks to Kevin, we all had an enjoyable day.
