Subject: [CR]Westminster Swap Meet

The Westminster Swap Meet is scheduled for February 4th, 2007. I have just registered and reserved a vendor table. I would advise all those interested to reserve a spot early, as spaces are already going quickly The new on-line registration makes it even easier that in the past. I spoke to Robin about grouping the vintage folks together, which she will attempt to do if she receives the requests early enough. Robin requested that those so inclined should put the work "VINTAGE" in the CONTACT NAME field on the registration form. The form can be found here:

The Westminster Swap is a pretty nice event, and has been growing steadily for a number of years, with more vintage stuff each time. Last year the event moved to the new building at the Carroll County Agriculture Center, which is nicer and much larger than the old buildings. The new space lacks some of the intimacy of the old location, and I think that there are some growing pains associated with the using the new space, since the table orientation and the flow of people was somewhat problematic last year. I wrote a long email stating that and suggesting that more though be given to those issues. I think it can - potentially - be much nicer. We'll see what happens.

Nevertheless, the swap is a welcome cure for the mid winter blues for us central east coasters. By that time we are in a serious need of a swap-fix (especially those of us that missed the T-Town Fall Extravaganza due to heavy work related schedule conflicts).
