Hi CR gang, The cleaning continues. I found a pair of really cool track hubs that I bought years ago. They are the giant flange hubs where the flange is rivited onto the hub body to give a flange much larger than a typical large flange. These are track, and I assume they are french thread. These hubs are so cool looking I could imagine someone creating a fun track bike project around them. Photos on this pair are available so ask if you are a serious buyer only. I don't want to pass out images for people's photo collections. The hubs look the same but in actuality they are slightly different. The rear is marked Prior, and the front is Atom. Prior and Atom became the same company thought I believe. The front hub has a more angular shaped hub body. But the hubs look so similar that when built up I doubt anyone would care at all. There is an 8 tooth skip tooth cog on the rear and is secured with a lockring. Haven't tried to remove it - but the flanges are so large you could easily build the wheel and pop it off then if you need extra leverage. The rear hub is a fixed free for added cool factor. The hubs are rough running so some maintenance is called for. Wing nuts are included but they do not match. The flanges themselves seem to be in pretty nice shape. If I new for sure that I was getting a 50's or very early 60's french track bike I wouldn't let them go - but such a machine is not in the cards right now for me - so these are on the block.
