Hi Tom,

I rode for the PAA/Follis team in the mid-seventies. The Stetina bothers were sort of a midwest branch of the team based in the Los Angeles, CA area. PAA stands for Pasadena Athletic Association. The team was sponsored by Euro-Linder Imports. Jan Russell was the local star on the team. The bikes were well liked by the team, although the top tubes were too short for me, especially the track bikes.

I just won a French Follis racing frame from the early 70's or so on eBay. A look through the archives indicates that Follis was best known for their touring frames and tandems. Does anyone have any information about a Follis racing program? Did they sponsor or supply any significant teams? I've seen some references to Follis sponsoring American riders: San Francisco Cyclery had or has a rebadged Teledyne Titan/Follis supposedly ridden by pioneering American J. Boyer during his American phase before he traveled to Europe. Presumably then someone in the US imported Follis frames at one time. No doubt this is one of them.
