The flat crowns represented as Types A and B were used from about the mid-to-late 70's through at least the mid 80's, in various chrome and painted versions. I believe the semi-sloping crown first appeared in the early 80's and was available up until a newer, similar crown was introduced in the early 90's. The mid-to-late '80s catalogs show both the flat and semi-sloping crowns in use. The crown David uses as Type C may be as early as '81 or so, because the frame that it's on is sort-of a one-off frame, with features similar to De Rosa frames of the '79-'83 period, which make it hard to place in a time-line. That crown did appear on the aerodynamic frames, as Ray indicates, from around '83-'85. There is also an earlier "no name" flat crown that appears on some '72 and earlier De Rosa forks, which can be seen here:

I've examined the catalogs on Mark Bulgier' site, Googled the web and other research, but am still completely confused.
Can anyone tell me the time periods during which these various fork crowns were used by De Rosa?
I hope some of you can help!
