Peter, Many thanks for posting the Tour of Britain clips makes fascinating reading. I had forgotten about those excellent books published by the Daily Express which tell the tale of each Tour in detail, sheer joy. By coincidence on ebay there is a copy of the 1952 T of B book the one that Ken Russell won. Item No. 230041733288 What wonderful days they were back then despite the acrimonious split between the NCU & BLRC. Seems very strange now that it divided Clubs and Makers and you could actually tell where they alligencies laid by the club or machine they rode. In London the choice of the League membere were: Rensch-Paris, ROH, Purves, Gillott, Hamilton. The Midlands Hateley, Stallard and Ernie Clements. North Pennine, Jack Taylors, Ellis Briggs and Langsett. South west Rotrax. I know there are loads more but these were the major ones I can recall. Best wishes Joe
