Highly doubtful that it's 501 tubing as the seller claims -- 501 was not available in 1975 when the frame was allegedly purchased. Either that or it was built much later than 1975.

My guess is that it's 531 tubing -- a better tube set anyway. 501 was seamed chrome-moly tubing redrawn to obliterate the seam. A decent tube set I suppose, but not as good as 531 IMHO.
