I emailed the seller and this is his response:

"They're new and never used. The marks are original from Martano. You may be right about the nipples. I wasn't sure that they were DT, but I was told that they were. I don't remember DT making alloy nipples back then either, so I'd have to say that I'm not sure about that. As far as the overall cost, I've seen the rims alone going for $350/pr., so I think the wheelset is priced very well." (no name)
