someone in my house managed to update our web-browser, which has meant all bookmarks and links have been lost. -bummer.

i had a few choice links to some of the more eccentric post war british colourschemes as i am trying to decide on paint for a late 40s frame.

if anyone could send me links to some of those lovely over-the-top, war-blues beating colours i would be most grateful. you know, lilac and blue, purple and red, that kind of thing. I've also lost all my other cycling links, bah!

the frame is allegedly a 1948 rensch, it has period correct but replacement fork. it's built with lugs- not bi-lams and has large swoopy head lugs 2/3rds of a circle on either side of the head-tube. they look a lot like the bottom section of a club from a deck of cards, just missing the top lobe. mirrored at top of head-tube - you get me? so a contrasting head tube will look good, and either a seat tube panel or contrasting stays and fork?

give me some inspiration.
