Ray,

I believe that the Carlton that Tom was on at Herne Hill was Cyril Cartwrights. Tom lived with Cyril for a while who acted as his mentor. I have a photo of Tom on this Carlton at the Daily Herald meeting at Fallowfield, which I beleive was the last meet that Tom rode as an amateur before turning pro and going to the Continent. In the photo he is being handed the trophy by Norman Grattage for winning the 10 mile event. I found this 8X10 black and white photo in my Dad's stuff after he died, I had it copied and sent several copies to Chris Sidwells, who was very grateful to receive them.

Best,

Brian Booth. Toronto (ex Manchester Wheelers)
