I am in the process of rebuilding my early 70s LeJeune and have a bit of a problem. I am wanting to use Mafac centerpulls as originally came on the bike, but I am using an Edco headset that takes up too much stack height for a hanger to mount. A simple solution would be a hanger that attaches to the veritcal part of the stem, but I have not seen any of these. Do these exist? I am considering side pulls, but I have yet to see any that will work (French, nutted, approx 55mm reach) that I do not find to be rather hideous or cobby. I have Campy that will work, but I am trying to maintain a French theme. I would do LS2s, but I have yet to find any of those...and besides the Mafacs are gold. I would like to use them after going to the trouble of finding them.
