This lovely hub really did bring back the memories and I was not at all surprised at the final price. In 1954 I rode in the Sussex CA 12 hour championship and was persuaded to try out this model and not wanting to rely on a single fixed I borrowed the hub just for this event. It turned out to be an asset as the day was very windy so with the long out and back detours with the change of wind directions it paid dividends. Our club the Horsham Unity not only provided the individual winner but the team honours as well. My contribution was 240 miles for the half day ride . I returned the hub back on the very next day and returned to my single fixed for the rest of the season.
Good old days if only we could turn the clock back eh!!
