Last night I was passing a local bike shop and saw an on topic Battaglin bike in the window.I don't think this bike is for sale.It seems to be a display item.It appeared to be an old team bike and showed some real use.It was fitted with mostly Campagnolo equipment from the early 80's.As my eyes passed over the bike I noticed it had a Simplex front derailleur which surprised me.I became more intrigued when I realized that it was a bolt on type and not a clamp on type.How common was it for an Italian bike of this era to have a French braze-on mounting ?
