Subject: [CR]Pronunciations

Okay, I've been thinking about this for, well, for years. And since Robert let the cat out of the bag, I'm piling on. By the way, I always heard it was pronounced "mee-kay".

Anyway, as anyone who is or was in the bike business can confirm, pronunciations are all over the place. I used to hear debates before group rides as to whether it was 'gwerchotti' or 'gurchotee', 'botekia' or 'bottacheeuh'. Heck, even 'companyolo' or caampaagnolow'.

Does anyone know a list where one can get the real scoop? I was going to bring this glaring social void up a few weeks ago when the topic was Ciocc, but didn't want to out myself as a hick. I guess I don't care anymore. So, what is it? 'poyagee' or 'pogleeaji'? I'll be happy to compile the list if those who are fluent will write in, on or off list, I don't care. I just need to know if it's 'helyet' or 'heliett'. Or is it 'hurs' or 'aers'?.

Okay, once and for all, let's do this....uh, if you guys want to...

Greg Overton barely fluent in English, is it Richard 'sox' or 'sax'? whatever, e-Richie works, I guess Salt Lake City, Utah
