An update to the note below from last year: The "Bici Center di Bardolino", owned by E. Cardi no longer exists. The extensive renovations that have been taking place were unveiled and it is now a new bike shop, "Paola Pezzo Olympic Bike Center." Uncertain of Ezio Cardi is out of the cycling business or moved. Paola lives in Garda, next town north of Bardolino. Ciao, Angel Garcia Verona, IT, fabulous day for cycling

Sebastian Richter sent me some photographs of his "E. Cardi" bike as a follow-up.

Today I rode out to Lago di Garda (Lake Garda) where Cardi is the owner of the "Bici Center di Bardolino" in Bardolino. This trip I was fortunate as Cardi happened to be there chatting with some friends.

The E. is for Ezio. He told told me the bike would have been built between 1970 and 1975, and that he built the bikes himself. He also he said he buil t for about 10 years before becoming a distributor for Bianchi. The current business has a very good range of Bianchi products. It is located at via Marconi, 60 in Bardolino. Cardi was a also a track rider; I see from googling that he raced in the sprints in Munich, 1972.

Sebastian says he has sent photos of the bike to Dale for posting on the CR web. I'm sure Sebastian can email you photos of his bike if you are interested.

Ciao,
Angel Garcia
