Bob,

Really - very funny indeed! I'm glad you shared this with the list.

I am now inspired, all I have to do is find another pair of serviceable Death Forks (currently working on that - waiting to hear from another list member as it happens), and a stuffed critter's head.

My cats have been looking v.concerned since Bob's picture arrive on my desktop...

Trouble is, this pic is clearly bogus as no pair of Lambert / Viscount forks could ever be polished to the high sheen seen in the image - and believe me I've tried.

Whilkst on that subject - are there any metallurgists out there who can explain why some aluminium alloys polish up nicely with just some T-cut, and others always come up virtually 'matt' whatever you do?

I can't decide whether to sell the forks (so I'd be v.interested in any sudden surge in market values please - only joking Dale!) - or perhaps mount them on a plinth and as a display over my fireplace as one of the apparently few "Non-Death" Lambert / Viscount forks still in captivity!
