Hello all, I have recently bought a very nice 1955 Gillott Fleur de Lis off ebay. It is in original paint. I thought it felt a little heavier than usual, then when cleaning it, I found the original owners nickname on the top tube. ''Porky''. So it must have been made with different tubing. There is no Reynolds 531 on the frame but then Gillott's often left that off. His full name -or what's left of it - is on top of the downtube. All I can read is ''Brian----------'' The other interesting fact is that it has twin cable stops on the downtube with 2 on the chainstay so unless I am wrong it was built for a Huret Louison Bobet Special rear mech. This is the reason for the WTB. I need one for this bike. It doesn't have to have drilled pulleys or be in great condition, as long as it is complete. I have a twin lever. In fact I have 2 NOS so if you fancy a trade get in touch. Mark Stevens Evanton Scotland
