Chuck was musing about the increase in interest in the early 80's Colnagos. I think the Cycl-art respray but especially the chrome headlugs were the drivers on this particular example's final bid. I also think the frame was (earliest) an 80-81, only based on the engraving on the seatstay tops and the investment cast rear brake bridge. Still 700+ is a lot of samoleans for a frame!
