Yes, The plan is that Dale will join "Equipe GruppoBob" in Gaiole in Chianti this October for the 10th anniversary of L'Eroica. In fact, Dale's L'Eroica booking sheet arrived today. This is more than just a Sunday ride just as Cirque du Cyclisme is more than a bike show and a swap meet. It is the ambiance of Italy, the people, the food and the bikes. While it would have been cool to spring this on Dale as a surprise, his anticipation is building and I can tell you the man is pumped. So as Ray just said, please contribute what you can. Our financial goal is simply this; Dale won't have to reach for his wallet once. Dale only has to worry about, packing and unpacking, and what to order on the restaurant menu. The rest is on us CR Listmembers.

Just to make Peter's intentions crystal clear, the reason for keeping this project off-list was to keep it a secret from Dale. The idea was to surprise him with the gift at this year's Cirque.
