I have found that Fed Ex is the cheapest...although it is still very expensive. I don't know why it would cost more to fly it over one ocean as opposed to another, but for some reason, it is MUCH more expensive to send frames to and from Australia. A guy in Australia sent me a frame (1976 Gitane!) using TNT.

Good luck!

I have a frame and a quantity of vintage components including wheelsets in California that I would like to ship to Australia.

I have enquired with the usual international courier companies, Fed Ex, DHL, UPS etc and was rudely shocked by their unrealistic quotations!!!.

Can any member/s with past experience of shipping to Australia suggest any other freight company that I could approach for a quotation.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
