I think that's the crux of the matter. If I recall currectly, some of the lugs that are available to John are from Microfusione, which (again IIRC) are investment cast and therefore cannot be adjusted very readily (if at all).

That's the great thing about the old lugs. Sometimes (always?) they required serious cleanup work, but they could usually adjusted using some scrap tubing or even broom handles. Fred Rednor - Arlington, Virginia (USA)
