This source for Twill tape was posted a while back, and the fellow that sells the stuff ( John Steinheimer ) was quite nice to work with. I too have a MONSTER roll of the stuff now - and swear I'm gonna actually USE it soon ! (do you notice 'we' tend to be hoarders ?)

It comes in a 60 yard roll for twenty bucks or so, in any color, and other than the lack of sticky stuff on the back, is indistinguishable from Cateye cotton.
