Hi Folks,

I just bought a new brand new Brooks Team Professional at a good price, thanks Mike, and that got me to looking on my old Team Pro, the one that I bought to replace my really old Team Pro, the one that died from neglect maybe 20 years ago. Anyway there's something strange about my old Team Pro. Instead of the nicely embossed "BROOKS" black and silver metal tag riveted on the back, it has a smaller black metal tag that doesn't say anything riveted way off center on the back. Other than that my old Team Pro looks exactly like my new Team Pro. Okay, On the old one the metal thing under the nose that holds the adjuster is copper plated, sort of. And on the rear cross member or whatever, right under the "MADE IN ENGLAND" stamp there's a "B84" stamp. I guess that's when it was made. Oh yeah, and the copper rivets on the old one don't have hammer marks the new one has, they look like they've been wire brushed, not randomly, but always away from the saddle center toward the edge of the leather.

My question to you is, "What's up with that little off-center blank black tag on the back of my old Team Pro?"

Thank you for you patience.
