Hi all, I'll try and keep it short & sweet, I fully agree with some of the below, I've used pretty much Campagnolo & Suntour, you can also throw in some French stuff and other Japanese stuff, thou NO Shimano. I don't care what other peoples bikes are, or what is on them, as long as they are riding and not sitting in front of the old idiot box, but rather using a bicycle for its intended purpose.

I'll never forget this from my past, I bought a Suntour Superbe RD with the alloy bolts, brand new, loved it, used every day, back then did'nt have a car, and one day went to get a part for it, "sorry you cannot buy spares for them". Well not long after that I saw a Campagnolo SR RD for sale, was second hand and was NZ$75, this was the exact one that I had seen a couple of years earlier for sale for NZ$133, early 80's. Well needless to say I bought it, and still have it, the good thing was I could buy spare parts for it, well I guess thats just the mechanic in me coming out.

Don't get me that Suntour RD sure was nice, nad sure did shift well, but that Campagnolo one also looks good and is serviceable, but they don't shift as well, never will, but can be helped by using a file on the dropout stop position on the top housing and some other minor tweeks.........regards wayne davidson Invers NZ..........

PS, regarding the subject title, I could not answer really, not been subjected to enough stuff over here, afterall I don't even own 1 bike that isd all Campagnolo, to much other nice stuff out there, Galli, OMAS etc......
