I've had one epoxy coated black for my anthracite black Touring bike. My rack is the earlier one that fits seat stay braze ons. Blackburn changed the sizing fairly early in production and I couldn't find a replacement, so the coating was the way to go. It seems to hold up very well to everything I've tied down to it. Just some wear on the rear corners of the rack where the bike gets leaned.

I have a couple of Blackburn racks anodized black. Never liked the black as well as silver, partly because small scratches are more evident on the black racks. Anyone know a way of removing the black anodized finish, other than sanding it off? If not, anyone had good results respraying these black with spraycan paint to cover the scratches?
