Subject: [CR]Accles & Pollock tubing stamp: advice needed

CR, I have a 1950 Maclean Featherweight frame which has an Accles & Pollock stamp on the fork steerer tube which becomes faintly stamped and unreadable as one reads left to right. There is no tubing transfer on the frame itself. Does anyone know if this stamp indicates an A&P tubing specification or something? Within an oval, there are four lines stamped as follows:

A & P BGT G13A... B...

I'm not certain about the "A" and the ellipses (...) indicate that there are additional characters that are too faint for me to read. Anyone know if this stamp might tell me something about the tubing?

Thank you, Peter
