I just read with great interest where Chuck said that in a number such as 70-120 on a Bottom Bracket Spindle that the first is the Bottom Bracket shell width and the second number is the drop out spacing. What are the consequences of not matching up the second number with the spacing or changing the spacing on a bike and having a mis-match on the second number of the drop out spindle?
