I'm with you on this Kim. Not only eBay rules directly forbid this, it is also plain unfair both to eBay - because it was eBay that brought the buyer and the seller together - and to other potential buyers of the item who do comply with the rules and refrain from making offers outside of eBay not because they are hoping for rock bottom bargains or something but simply because they want to play by the rules. Just my 0.02 Canadian...
