Here is a message from Ted Ernst regarding his display of vintage bikes at this years Velo Rendezvous

Hi all: All of the for sale bikes are assembled but not fully overhauled, cleaned, or tuned to ride. The wood rims are prewar and at least 67 years old and I would save them for show and get something newer and safer for riding. Old rims tend to get splits, warps, could delaminate, and care has to be taken on spoke tension. I know most of you enjoy doing your own restoration work to the degree you deem proper, so I leave that part to you. Prices reflect mostly my costs in collecting these examples and the parts needed to complete them. There are over 20 bikes in the display only about five have alloy rims, the rest are wood rims with original patina and weathering. Puchasers of these bikes assume the responsibility of determining the rideability and reliability of any of the bikes for sale.

The components and frames range in time from the 1900's into the 1970's. Come out and take a look at cycling history through the decades. Let your minds wander as the nostalgic images of cycling's halcyon days carry you over the horizen down memory lane on inch pitch chains, wood rims, fixed gears, and steel frames.

See you at Chuck Schmidt's Velo Rendezvous # 7, Sunday, September 23, 2007. Check out the fotos, maybe there's a bike you like, buy it (I may have some flexibility in pricing, we can chat), then pick it up at the show, or I'll ship it to you.

Note: The # 14 green bike now has the bar from 9. #9 Shelby now has a more accurate bar for the 1935 vintage. #11 Apollo has no tires. The bike prices reflect these changes. Fotos were taken before captions and only these minor changes were done to be more appropriate for price and condition.
