Has anyone heard from Doug Smith?Thank you John,

I had feared this might be the case. Doug and I have regularly corresponded for over four years now (although not for a couple of weeks). I knew that he had been having problems which have kept him off a bike this past summer. Which for Doug has been tough!

Doug is an extremely generous and kind man - having stored a frameset for me for over two years and having recently arranged its paintjob with Mario Vaz in London. I consider him to be a good friend - although we have never met. I hope that I can maintain something of his passion for cycling when I reach his more lofty years. I join with John in extending my prayers and thoughts to Doug and his family for a speedy recovery.

Dr. Williams & List,

I had an email from Doug Smith yesterday. He has a heart problem involving hospitalization and surgery. I'm sure he would appreciate your prayers, thoughts, and best wishes for a speedy recovery.
