Hilary,

It was nice to see another Locomoteif Tour de France. The only one I've ever seen before this is the one residing in my office. I bought

mine used in 1960. It's like yours in every way except for the color\u2014

mine is green\u2014and the head lugs. Mine are not chrome and match the other lugs. The head lugs on your frame are more plain than the others. According to the Locomoteif literature that Freek Faro sent me, the head lugs on my bike were only used in 1950. The graphics on your frame are exactly like those on mine. For anybody considering buying yours, I can promise a great ride. The only thing I changed on

mine was the fork. In 1974 I replaced the original with one that has much less rake just to speed up the turn in. Okay, and because it looks better.

PS: If your buyer wants to know how mine was set up by the factory, I'd be happy to provide that information. For example, he'll need Kint-Maes bars.
